It&#8217;s a real crush.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Over the centuries, it was an agricultural exploitation with in particular as owner the Marquis de Piennes, named <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eug%C3%A8ne_d%27Halwin_de_Piennes\">Eug\u00e8ne Halwin<\/a>, a great diplomat and politician from La Manche.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>One of the most important chapters of its history is linked to the great history of our country. Indeed, its geographical location places it at the heart of the battles of the Battle of Normandy during the Second World War.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Farm under German occupation, knows a heavy combat of nearly 48 hours following the landing of June 6, 1944 and the parachutings of many American soldiers of the <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/101e_division_a%C3%A9roport%C3%A9e\">101st Airborne Division.<\/a> Numerous stigmata still bear witness to this, such as the hole of the German sniper in one of the facades, numerous bullets lost in the stone walls&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>At the entrance to La Ferme, a commemorative stone pays tribute to Second Lieutenant George E. Schmidt who lost his life during the assault on the Farm by his regiment, the <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/501e_r%C3%A9giment_d%27infanterie\">501st Infantry Regiment<\/a>, on the morning of D-Day.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-76a7023 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"76a7023\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<style>\/*!
